     About Hyde Park

Hyde Park Square, Ohio
Acquired in 1903 when Hyde Park was annexed to Cincinnati, this .25 acre parcel, located at Erie Avenue and Edwards Road, was maintained by the city until it was transferred to the Park Board in 1917.

The fountain on the Square was donated by the Kilgour family on November 6, 1900. Following a complete restoration and revamping, Hyde Park Square was rededicated on September 18, 1976, for the bicentennial celebration of the Declaration of Independence.

When one visits the Square, there is a feeling of an open air market. Teakwood benches and beautiful landscaping add to the peaceful feeling as you hear the water bubbling in the fountain.
